How Technology can Enhance Creativity!

When I decided to transition from the technology industry into the wedding industry the first thing, I wanted to do was access how technology could enhance the creative industry.  The creatives in the event industry have embraced utilizing technology for social media marketing as that aligns perfectly with what they do but I wanted to take it further and deeper and address how technology could also create a better client experience.  Technology doesn’t only enable creativity but nurtures it and creating a plan to implement a technology flow throughout our business at Knotting Hill Place first began by analyzing what tools were already in the marketplace that we could capitalize on and what had to be developed internally.  If we did a good job marketing and bringing potential brides into our venue, then we needed to have a stellar CRM (client relationship manager) to streamline the communication process.  We have found that we have approximately 80-125 streams of communication back and forth with each bride between first initial contact and the event day so finding a tool that worked for us as a communication tool, a payment tracking tool, and a contracts-document management tool was essential.  Our next endeavor was automating our process flows and event check out which we had to develop in house.  We have also found that creating a perfect event is very similar to a project manager role within a technology organization.  Perfection is in details and documenting those details in a manor that is easily referenced and repeatable is absolutely a must.  Creativity is not the miraculous road to business growth and affluence that is so abundantly claimed these days we do have to have a creative team to build beautiful weddings but in order to have a successful event we also had to implement technology in an immaculate way as well.
